Within the framework of a small school, C/A offers numerous opportunities for participation in both coed and single-sex sports teams. Students enjoy competitive and non-competitive sports, and learn good sportsmanship, teamwork, endurance, and self-discipline. C/A is part of the Independent Small Schools Athletic Conference (ISSAC). Over a third of our students participate on competitive teams which, with the exception of basketball, are coed teams comprised of both Middle and High School students. C/A teams have included:
Basketball (Boys High School, Boys Middle School, Girls combined)
Cross Country (coed, combined)
Soccer (coed, combined)
Tennis (coed, combined)
Teams typically practice during Clubs (where students can also enjoy non-competitive sports such as rock climbing and bowling) but may occasionally call extra practices during the week. Games are scheduled after school or on weekends. High School students may earn credit for team sport participation.
