C/A’s Middle School intentionally focuses on healthy social interaction, team building, and developing a love of learning. Electives and Wednesday Clubs are designed to introduce students to new interests and enrich those they already have. Activities, events, sports, competitions, and team building exercises help build a sense of community and belonging, and provide numerous opportunities to have fun and achieve new skills, while field trips also complement and enhance classroom learning.
In a safe, nurturing setting, students learn to take academic risks, make mistakes, think critically, explore creatively, and acquire competency in the essential skills of each discipline necessary for success in our college preparatory High School curriculum. For our students who have learning differences or AD/HD, Middle School is also a time for them to begin accepting who they are as learners and understanding what accommodations or executive functioning support they need for success.
