In Ms. Shipman's English 11 Honors class, a group of students recently took the initiative to go and support their classmate, Rachel W., who recently performed in the Synetic Theatre Teen Company production of The Taming of the Shrew. Rachel had been rehearsing tirelessly for weeks, and their classmates knew just how much this performance meant to them.

Despite having busy schedules and conflicting commitments that Saturday, Rachel's English 11 Honors classmates made the effort to attend the performance. As they arrived at the theatre, the students could feel the buzz of excitement in the air.

When the lights dimmed and the show began, the students were completely engrossed in the performance. Rachel's portrayal was simply breathtaking. They delivered their lines with conviction and emotion, capturing the complexity of the character perfectly. The audience was captivated by Rachel's performance, and the students were beaming with pride.

As they walked out of the theatre, students couldn't stop talking about how amazing Rachel was in the play. They were proud to have been there to witness the performance, and they knew that Rachel's hard work had paid off. They had come to support their classmate, but they had left feeling inspired by Rachel's talent and dedication.

In the end, this experience taught students a valuable lesson about the importance of community — something that sets CA apart from other schools. By taking the time to attend Rachel's performance, they had not only shown their support for their classmate, but they had also experienced the power of coming together as a community. This was a moment that our students will never forget, and one that will stay with them long after their time in Ms. Shipman's English 11 Honors class has come to an end.
