As a college preparatory institution, Commonwealth Academy is proud to partner with students and families to navigate the college application process — a process that can be as exciting as it is overwhelming, especially in an increasingly competitive landscape.

CA supports families in successfully navigating the college process and acquiring the guidance needed to make informed decisions through a number of resources and services, some of which are listed below:

• Personalized and individualized mentorship and college guidance for students

• Individual meetings, essay reviews, and more

• Every fall, CA hosts an average of 80-95 admissions representatives from colleges/universities across the country

• Completion of the Strong Career Interest Inventory for all juniors in an ongoing effort to open doors to potential college majors and career choices

• Support in coordinating and completing applications and accommodations for all standardized tests (PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP)

• Towards the end of the school year, CA sponsors a Senior Speaker Series in which keynote speakers from various college/university offices speak with students about their forthcoming college journeys

• Throughout the college admissions process, parents and caregivers remain both informed and involved in the college counseling process with written communications and updates, information sessions, and individual meetings along the way
